In the afternoon of November 12, ShangHuiliang, vice president and secretary-general of China Renewable ResourcesIndustry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, together with entrepreneursfrom member units of the Alliance, came to the university and held acooperation and exchange conference and the unveiling ceremony of the graduatetraining base in Conference Room 202 of the complex building. Xie Huaqing,President, Li Xia, Director of the Office of the Alumni Association, members ofthe Party and government teams of the College of Resources and EnvironmentalEngineering, and representatives of teachers and students attended themeeting. The meeting was presided over by Zhou Quanfa, Dean of the Collegeof Resources and Environmental Engineering.

Xie Huaqing briefly introduced the schoolrunning characteristics, discipline research and talent training of the school,and emphasized the characteristics of graduate training of the School ofResources and Environmental Engineering and the importance of school enterprisecooperation. He said that through this cooperation, the school willexplore new technologies and methods in the field of renewable resources withthe members of the alliance, and contribute to the sustainable development ofthe industry.

Shang Huiliang introduced the history,membership, key areas of work and characteristic work of the Alliance. Hepointed out that the Alliance would be committed to promoting technologicalinnovation in the renewable resources industry, promoting the deep integrationof industry, university and research, and injecting new impetus into theindustrial development.

In the enterprise donation link, XieHuaqing received generous donations from Changzhou Hongju Electronic TechnologyCo., Ltd. on behalf of the school. Song Tao, Chairman of Changzhou HongjuElectronic Technology Co., Ltd., and Wang Jifen, Secretary of the Party Committeeof the College of Resources and Environmental Engineering jointly unveiled theenterprise graduate workstation, and Zhou Quanfa issued Song Tao a letter ofappointment for graduate enterprise mentor.

Song Tao, speaking as the representative ofthe enterprise, shared his experience and feelings of cooperation withuniversities and expressed his expectation for the future cooperation. Hesaid that the establishment of enterprise graduate workstation will providemore practice opportunities for graduate students, and also provide morehigh-quality talents for enterprises. He expected to carry out broader anddeeper cooperation with the college on the basis of graduate workstation.

Based on the new requirements and goals ofthe country, the College of Resources and Environmental Engineering takes thesource control, process management, end treatment and recycling of solid wastessuch as electronics, nonferrous metals and new energy as the research object,conducts research on waste analysis and detection, pollutant traceability,pollutant migration and transformation mechanism, and cultivates finetechnology, management International applied talents. The college hasscientific research and teaching platforms such as Shanghai Electronic WasteRecycling Collaborative Innovation Center, National Environmental ProtectionTraining Base, Shanghai Key Emergency Technology Laboratory, and ShanghaiMunicipal Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center. Focusing on thenational ecological civilization construction and resource recycling strategy,the graduate training of the college focuses on the recycling theory andtechnology, environmental pollution prevention technology, environmentalprotection equipment development and other directions, with the recycling of electronicwaste and pollution prevention as the main line. The college hasestablished school enterprise cooperation relationships with dozens ofenterprises and institutions, including Shanghai Environment Group Co., Ltd.,Sinopec Offshore Oil Bureau, Pudong New Area Ecological Environment Bureau,Shanghai Liming Resources Reuse Co., Ltd., Shanghai Pudong New Area Work SafetyAssociation, Shanghai Zunli Testing Technology Co., Ltd., and employed morethan 60 graduate enterprise tutors.

Established in 2009, the China RenewableResources Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance is a national pilotalliance, a national A-level industrial technology innovation strategicalliance, an excellent organizational unit for the organization and managementof the national science and technology plan, and a recommendation unit for theorganization and application of key special projects of the national keyresearch and development plan recognized by the Ministry of Science andTechnology. The Alliance is committed to providing all-round innovationservices for strategic emerging industries such as renewable resources, and isa new technological innovation organization. The key work areas of theAlliance include recycling of non-ferrous metals, comprehensive utilization ofelectronic waste, remanufacturing of electromechanical products, recycling ofwaste polymer materials, recycling of industrial solid waste and collaborativedisposal of hazardous waste, etc., which are highly consistent with thediscipline development direction of the College of Resources and EnvironmentalEngineering. The Alliance also actively promotes cooperation withuniversities, establishes special scholarships, promotes disciplineconstruction, improves the integration of professional development andenterprises, and further supports the sustainable development of renewableresources industry and enterprises. The cooperation between the universityand the technological innovation strategic alliance of renewable resourcesindustry will certainly make greater contributions to promoting the sustainabledevelopment of the industry and talent cultivation.
