The China Engineering ConstructionStandards Science and Technology Innovation Awards for the year 2024 wererecently announced. The national standard " Discharge Standard of Water Pollutantsfor Electronic Industry " (GB 39731-2020), co-edited by Professor GaoGuilan and Wu Wenjie from the School of Resources and Environmental Engineering,has been awarded the First Prize of Standard Project Award.

This standard was collaboratively authorizedby China Electronics Engineering Design Institute Co., Ltd., ShanghaiPolytechnic University, Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences, ShanghaiAcademy of Environmental Science, Shenzhen Environmental Protection MonitoringCenter Station and other organizations. The standard specifies the emissioncontrol requirements, monitoring requirements, and supervision and managementrequirements for water pollutants in the electronic industry. Its significanceis profound in regulating the emission behavior of water pollutants in theelectronic industry, protecting the water environment, and promoting the greendevelopment of the electronic industry.

The China Engineering ConstructionStandards Science and Technology Innovation Awards, approved by the NationalOffice for Scientific and Technological Rewards under the Ministry of Scienceand Technology, is the only standard award in the field of engineeringconstruction. It is organized and selected by the China Association forEngineering Construction Standardization. The aim is to encourage and recognizevarious scientific and technological standardization talents and outstandingteams that have made outstanding contributions to promoting scientific andtechnological progress and the development of engineering constructionstandardization in the field of engineering construction, as well as standardprojects with key scientific and technological innovations and application andpromotion achievements. Among them, the Standard Project Award is for standardprojects with important innovations in the main technical content, with theoverall technical level and key technical indicators reaching the leading levelin the industry, and with the implementation and application of the standardsplaying an important role in promoting the transformation and application ofscientific and technological innovation achievements and the high-qualitydevelopment of the industry.
